|About David Friedman - Bibliotique's founder
Bibliotique was founded in 2000 by David
Friedman. It started as a small on-line
bookstore with a few books and CD's. Over
time it has grown to have thousands of books
and collectibles available.
Bibliotique began while David was working
for a non-profit organization. He now
manages Bibliotique on a full time basis.
He is a past member of the ABEBooks.com
advisory board. ABEBooks is the world's
largest source of used/out of print & rare
David is a past President of IOBA
(Independent online Booksellers
Association). The association represents the
interests of those buying and selling books on
the internet. It also operates a website for
the sale of books (www.iobabooks.com).
David's background includes management
and consulting work with business and
organizations. His experience with retail goes
back to his youth where his family operated
several stores. He has worked extensively
with camping and youth organizations.
David is married to Allison Friedman. Allison is
a psychotherapist in private practice (in New
Paltz New York) and a writer. Her columns
appear in the Poughkeepsie Journal.
